Management Team
Dr. Ed Zschau,
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Dr. Zschau has had a long and distinguished career
in business, public policy, and academia. Among his many accomplishments, he
was founder and CEO of System Industries, a Silicon
Valley computer products company, from 1968 to
1982, and General Manager of IBM’s Storage Systems Division from 1993
to 1995. He served as Director and Chairman of the American Electronics
Association in the 1970s and as U.S. Congressman from Silicon
Valley for two terms in the 1980s. Dr. Zschau has taught in the Graduate Schools of Business at
both Harvard and Stanford Universities,
and currently is a Visiting Lecturer with rank of Professor at Princeton University in
the Electrical Engineering Department.
Dr. Greg Olsen, Board of
Directors
Dr. Olsen received his BS Physics, a BSEE and MS Physics from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and a Ph.D. in
Material Science from the University of Virginia. In 1972, Dr.
Olsen joined RCA Laboratories, and in 1984 founded EPITAXX Inc., which was
acquired by Nippon Sheet Glass in 1990. He founded Sensors Unlimited in 1991, which was acquired by Finisar Corp. in 2000 and repurchased in October 2002,
and sold again in 2005 to Goodrich Corp. Dr. Olsen is a Fellow of the IEEE,
has been active in many technical societies and has ten patents and over 100
publications. He was the 3rd civilian to fly to the International
Space Station and is now President of GHO Ventures in Princeton, NJ.
Dr. Rudy Limpaecher,
Board of Directors
Dr. Limpaecher is the inventor of AC-link
technology and remains a key advisor to the team on technical issues. He has
30-plus years of experience in the pulsed power field with Northrop
Corporation, AVCO Research Lab and SAIC. Rudy received a PhD. in Plasma
Physics from UCLA and holds 12 US patents.
Darren Hammell,
President & CEO, Board of Directors
Mr. Hammell received a BSE in Computer Science
Engineering from Princeton University, where, along
with Mr. Holveck, he received the Johanssen Dike Award for Excellence in Undergraduate
Research. After winning 1st place in the Princeton University Business Plan
Contest, he remained in Princeton and became
President & CEO of Princeton Power Systems at its founding. Mr. Hammell is active in several industry groups and
frequently gives speeches and presents white papers at industry trade shows.
Mark Holveck,
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Holveck is a co-founder of Princeton Power
Systems, and received a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, where he and
Mr. Hammell received the Johanssen
Dike Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. Mr. Holveck
leads the development of advanced technologies for several applications, and
has a background in state-of-the-art motor control techniques.
Erik Limpaecher,
Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Limpaecher is a co-founder of Princeton Power
Systems, and received a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. Mr. Limpaecher designed the first control systems for the
AC-link technology and has been the principal controls design architect for
every existing AC-link system since the technology’s inception.
