Job Description
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for creating accounts and selling the GTIB, DRI, and ESS Product Lines. The candidate will generate leads, qualify leads, generate opportunities, submit proposals, and win sales. Candidate will interface with the Applications Engineering Team for technical support in proposal generation and customer support. An outgoing personality with the skills to create and maintain strong customer relationships and drive business is a key to success. The position comes with a tremendous opportunity to grow quickly within a high-profile technology company that works closely with customers including BMW, EaglePicher, US Department of Energy, and others.  This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Business Development. Competitive compensation includes salary, commissions, and benefits. Opportunity to develop into Sales Manager position.Princeton Power is a small company commercializing energy technology for microgrids, electric vehicle charging, electric grid support, and other advanced applications. Knowledge of and an interest in these growing markets is a requirement.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • BS/BA and 5+ years corporate experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel)
  • Technical degree and interest in energy technology a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus

Advanced Controls Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for development of control strategies, algorithms, and techniques for the control of power electronic circuits and systems.
  • Construct power converter computer models and conduct simulations of control strategies.
  • Develop simulation control architecture that facilitates rapid translation of control software from simulation to real hardware.
  • Directly support or perform development of control firmware for implementation of developed control.
  • Primary responsibility for development of test procedures for and for testing and troubleshooting of developed control software.

Required:

  • 2+ years experience in simulation and controls development in either academic or professional setting.
  • Software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with electronic controls hardware.
  • Proficient and creative problem-solving – Ability to generate solutions to problems and to make sound engineering decisions based on project objectives.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – Ability to write clear and concise technical specifications, test procedures, reports, and analyses.  Ability to present work clearly to coworkers and customers.
  • Team player but with the ability to work in isolation if required

Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the complete Software Development Lifecycle from gathering requirements to system design to software development and testing to release and maintenance.
  • Analyze system specifications and translate to software requirements. Evaluate software requirements to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Work with project and hardware engineers to define interfaces between hardware and software and specify software design for overall control system.
  • Develop software PC-based control systems and graphical user interfaces
  • Develop methods and procedures for development and test of control system software to ensure conformance to the software engineering design and customer requirements.
  • Research industry and conduct system analysis to keep company’s systems current with changing technologies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of existing software systems in the field.
  • Develop control algorithms for electromechanical systems
  • Analyze Data and manage databases
  • Develop test procedures for software and control
  • systems.

Senior Electrical Engineer

You will be a key member of the Product Development team developing state of the art Power Conversion products for use in Alternative Energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, Micro-Grid, and Backup Power applications. Tasks will include design of power conversion systems, design of electrical control circuitry, development of control algorithms and software, performing system-level analysis and design, printed circuit board design, and supporting fabrication and testing of components and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Control system and auxiliary electronics circuits design
  • Overall system architecture and schematic design
  • Printed circuit board design and design supervision
  • Simulation or analysis of electronic circuits ranging from small electronics to high-power electronics
  • Software development for microprocessor and FPGA-based control systems and PC-based graphical user interfaces
  • Electrical system test procedure development, testing, and test reporting
  • Analysis of system design reliability and design for reliability
  • Generation of electrical schematics and manufacturing-related documentation

Required:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other pertinent field.

Senior Power Electronics Engineer

  • Primary responsibility for the design of sensing and control circuitry for interfacing DSP/FPGA-based controllers with high-power electronics
  • Support design of mechanical packaging of high-power components in 3D modeling software.
  • Perform FMEA and reliability analyses and design to meet reliability targets
  • Design for compliance with UL, CE, and FCC standards as well as outdoor environmental targets.
  • Support development of control software for power circuit topology.
  • Primary responsibility for development of test procedures and supervision of testing for design verification of full power conversion system.
  • Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.

Required:

  • 5+ years experience in electronic hardware design and development for power electronics applications or 3+ years with an advanced degree
  • Proficient and creative problem-solving
  • Detailed understanding of modern electrical engineering principles and practice

Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate with a combination of strong physical analysis skills and experience in employing a wide variety of analytical engineering techniques.  This individual will be an integral contributor to multiple parallel design tasks, supporting hardware development relating to power electronic systems.  Successful candidates must be ‘hands-on’ and be willing to work in an interactive, fast-paced technical environment.  The individual will be expected to adapt quickly and work closely with the entire technical organization in a collaborative manner on cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support electro-mechanical design and analysis activities from conceptual design, to validation prototypes, to pilot and production release.
  • Support validation efforts with hands-on participation in testing.
  • Design of packaging, thermal management and manufacturing technology for power converters and related products.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple engineering disciplines; including electromagnetic, electrical and thermal.
  • Participate in design process including:
    meeting new product development milestones, design reviews, optimization of cost / performance of components and subsystems, identifying technical risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and plans

Qualifications: The candidate should have a successful track record with innovative electro-mechanical technology development.
The candidate must have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Five or more years of mechanical design experience (preferably within a product design environment)
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling and detailing required (preferably Pro-Engineer)
  • Proficient using FEA tools for thermal analysis
    Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience creating machine, sheet-metal and assembly drawings including knowledge of industry best practices
  • Experience with FMEA and product validation
  • Experience with industrial power electronics  design and/or manufacturing practices
  • Experience with and understanding of UL and IEEE standards and/or certification
  • Experience with and understanding of electronics operation, thermal packaging, and electronic  component placement including PCBs and high power components
  • Advanced degrees in relevant fields of study
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, able to generate technical reports and documentation

Power Electronics Test Technician

Electronics technician sought who will work with the design engineering team to test both standard and prototype power electronic products.  Test Technician shall have previous experience with testing and handling of electric circuitry. Candidate must be comfortable with the testing of PCB’s, power electronics, transformers and inverters.  In addition, testing of large cabinet style products used in the energy and utility industry with tools such as load banks.

Candidate shall possess the ability to read engineering drawings containing both mechanical and electrical information and know how to test a product to a compliance specification.  Also, candidate shall have experience with continuity, AC and DC voltages, current and power controls.  Minimum 2 years of experience with industrial power and control products, particularly power generation and distribution systems is required.  Experience with motor/generator control and an understanding of the basic principles of power electronics and Software is a plus.
