Job description: The Power-electronics Design Engineer is responsible for design of power-electronics circuits and components associated with power converters, inverters, and motor drives (480V AC, 10hp to 100hp, 100kW to 2 MW). Job requires design of power converters (AC/DC, DC/AC, AC/AC) using MOSFETs, IGBTs, and thyristors; silicon and silicon carbide devices; harmonic and EMI filters, high frequency transformers, high frequency capacitor banks, and selection of protection components. Knowledge of closed-loop control system is a plus. Work with cross-functional team members from product concept through production.

Job involves design and simulation of power electronics circuits using Dymola or Simplorer simulation packages. Design experience of high-power inductors and high-frequency transformers is a plus. Job includes conceptualizing, designing, documenting and procuring the components, and supporting manufacturing and testing.

Position requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, task oriented, and hands-on, able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.

Electrical Engineering degree, BSEE (MSEE preferred) with 2+ years related experience required.  Desired to have experience with power converters, motor drives, VSDs, inverters, 480V AC to 15kV, kilowatt to megawatt.  Familiarity with IEEE, UL, NEMA, ANSI, CEC, MIL, and other standards and qualification testing is a plus.  Candidate should be able to handle multiple projects, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of performing and/or oversee laboratory high power testing, and comfortable in a hands-on product development environment.

Job description: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing appropriate packaging solutions for power electronics products (480V AC and megawatt range). Job requires mechanical designs of systems of power-semiconductor assemblies, inductors, transformers, control boards, and cooling fans for indoor/ outdoor installations and commercial/MIL applications. Knowledge of electrical clearances, thermal management system, and/or audible noise is a PLUS. Work with cross-functional team members from product concept through production.

Job involves solid modeling of components, sub-assemblies, and final assembly using Pro/E or similar 3D software. Candidate should have experience taking designs through mechanical and thermal design using Pro/E (or similar) based analyses tools. Conceptualize and design mechanical elements (enclosures, parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, wiring/cable routing).  Maintains and releases design documentation in a PDM system.

Position requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.  Will occasionally work in lab environment around high voltage where safety awareness is critical.  Extreme attention to detail is required

A leading designer and manufacturer of large power electronic products in the energy and utility market is looking for a skilled drafter/designer.

The position requires someone with knowledge and experience working with Printed Circuit Board design and Assembly.

The candidate should have background with Electronic CAD packages with experience in generating schematic, PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly documentation . Wiring Harness documentation experience is a plus.

Job description: The Control System Engineer is responsible for design of control algorithms, remote communications, and software code applicable to power converters, inverters, and motor drive products.  Job involves simulation of power-electronics and controls system simulation and also involves the developing controls algorithm, overall control architecture, and the development of software design documentation and code development and writing.

Position requires an individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, task oriented, and hands-on, able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.

BS/MS in electrical engineering or computer science with 2+ years related experience in control system design, embedded software design/coding, or electronic component / system modeling is required.  Understanding of the fundamentals of analog electrical circuits, including the ability to derive and solve circuit differential equations is a plus.   Candidate shall also understand control theory, particularly as applied to PWM power converter control and motor control and have the ability of programming real-time digital control systems in C.

Candidate should be able to handle multiple projects, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable to perform and/or oversee laboratory high power testing in excess of 30 kW and up to 300kW, and comfortable in a hands-on product development environment.

Electronics assembly technician sought who will work with the design engineering team to build both standard and prototype power electronic products.  Assembler shall have previous experience with testing and handling of electric circuitry, PCB’s, power electronic components such as magnetic and windings.  In addition, mechanical assembly and packaging of large cabinet style products used in the energy and utility industry.

Candidate shall possess ability to ready engineering drawings containing both mechanical and electrical information.  Also, candidate shall have experience with fabrication wiring harnesses and wire routing subassemblies.  Minimum 2 years of experience with industrial power and control products, particularly power generation and distribution systems is required.  Experience with motor/generator control and understands the basic principles of power electronics is a plus.
